I am getting really low and fed up!

Everyday I have the cramps, mucus, bowel bleeding and urgency, followed by the 10 million trips to the loo, and a light period.

It’s like it’s Groundhog Day and there’s no letting up. Hard to stay sane and positive when it’s like this.

I have read that on hrt bleeding can continue for up to a year. I am sorry but I can’t deal with this for much longer.

I see the surgeon Wednesday and I want my womb out and I want to get my bowel checked asap. If. It means stopping the hrt and trying to cope with the menopause naturally I don’t care. I can’t do this anymore!!!

  1. I didn’t have the bowel problems after my surgery, but I did have too much bleeding off and on since July. One thing I learned was that the brand of progesterone made a big difference for me. On one I was bleeding/spotting most of the time. On another, mostly stopped! Also, the timing of the pills and patches was very crucial. I’ve read that bleeding is one of the main reasons women will quit HRT. Most things I read or hear say it takes a while to get the hormone balance right. I’m doing better now and trying to stay on as long as possible, but I guess it doesn’t work for everyone. I hope you’ll feel better!

      1. The one that works for me is manufactured by Virtus. The other was made by Bion Pharma. The active ingredients have to be the same, but I guess the coatings, etc. can be different. Each person’s body reacts differently, I guess.
